Friday 21- I did my stretches, ran a mile, and lifted weights.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 59 and 91 degrees, winds NW 13 to 26 MPH, humidity around 9 percent, clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Saturday...Mostly sunny. Windy. Highs 71 to 73 in yucca valley to around 79 in twentynine palms. West wind 20 to 30 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph in the morning. Saturday Night...Mostly clear. Windy. Lows 45 to 47 in yucca valley to around 52 in Twentynine Palms. West wind 20 to 30 mph.”
I drove to Twentynine Palms to fill up the Gross Polluter with gas, fill two 5 gallon propane tanks at Bar Lumber, and pick up some supplies at Stater Bros. I have to get as much done before the temporary permit on the truck runs out on the 31 of this month and I won’t have any transportation except Stoney’s SUV; which I feel uncomfortable driving. It’s not that I dislike the car- it’s because me and him went to so many places together in it. Oh well life must go on.
I read aloud from the textbooks: “Astronomy Today" The Origin of Pluto; “The Cell: a Molecular Approach” Processing of mRNA in Eukaryotes.
I went on my evening walk listening to the Astronomy Cast lecture: Ep. 181: Rotation- Figuring out the difference between centripetal and centrifugal force. I’ll have to listen to that one again!
I did some more tweaks on the Toshiba Portege M200 tablet and installed MS Works 9 and all its updates.
Ron Dehart called to tell me that he loves his new broadband. We talked about a bunch of other stuff for well over an hour- mostly history of World War two.
I read a few chapters of “Midnight Runner” by Jack Higgins.
I did my stretches, practiced my guitar, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
