Tuesday 09- I did my stretches and lifted weights.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 36 and 53 degrees, NW winds of 23 to 36 with gusts over 50 MPH, humidity around 31 percent, sunny skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 58. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 16 to 19 mph increasing to between 26 and 29 mph. Winds could gust as high as 44 mph. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39. Breezy, with a northwest wind 26 to 29 mph decreasing to between 17 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 44 mph.”
I was going to go to town to get Stoney’s tire fixed, it has a slow leak, but because of the winds gusting up to 50 MPH I didn’t feel like driving, in fact after my accident I don’t feel like driving much at all. So I dropped his car back at his place.
So I watched some of the MIT Biology videos that Andrew sent me. Unfortunately most of them are only half recorded and cut out in the middle of a lecture, dang! But I did get some of the pronunciations on some of the words I’ve been struggling with lately.
Way too windy for an evening walk today so I did a little webwork.
I read aloud from the textbooks: “Astronomy Today" more about the comparisons between the Moon and Mercury; “The Cell: a Molecular Approach” about introducing mutations into cellular genes.
I watched “I Robot” (2004) starring Will Smith. Then I read a chapter in “Aliens”.
I did my stretches; practiced my guitar; wrote my column for the newspaper and sent it in; wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
