March 23-29 2014
Apr. 1st, 2014 04:14 pmSunday 23- a delightful day.
I my stretches, lifted weights, yoga, core trainer and a half run, punched the heavybag for two minutes and took Cassie for a mile run while listening to lecture 13 and 14 of Astro 7B.
I worked around the yard with Cassie trying to interrupt by getting me to play fetch with the ball; how can I resist.
We went for our evening walk while I listened to lecture 14 of Astro 7B. I keep seeing this pretty yellow flower at night, but when I for to take a picture of it in the daytime I can never find it. Very confusing for me until I discovered that this one particular flower only blooms in the night time!

I haven't heard from Kelly for a couple of days, we were supposed to go to the store on Monday, and thought she done died. I went to her house to check up on her. I called and called and there was no answer. I have the keys to her house so I let myself in. I saw her lying stuff on the bed and thought the worst but then she stirred a little and then woke up.
Thursday 27- a little breeze but nice.
I my stretches, yoga and took Cassie for a mile walk.
I took Kelly to the Social Services, then to the DMV where she finally got her car registered and her drivers license renewed; a very big leap for her for her and hopefully for the best. Now she can go places on her own and has the independence to do what she wants without depending on other people. We went shopping at The Pet Store, Vons, WalMart and ate burgers at Carl’s Jr. This time I got home just after the sun set and was greeted by yelps, whines and wagging tail of Cassie.
I watched “Below”(2002); an American submarine mistakes a British hospital ship as an enemy ship and sinks it and the officers try to cover it up during World War II. and Once Upon a Time S1 E12 – Skin Deep

I took Cassie for a walk when I go back home.
I did some editing on my book.
I watched movie “Mud” 2012 Matthew McConaughey, and “Helix” S1 E13 – Dans L’Ombre.
Saturday 29- sunny day.
I my stretches and took Cassie for a walk.
I was inside the kitchen cooking for the potluck Memorial we’re having for Violet Jonas when I heard Cassie barking at something and I went outside to investigate and found it was a Mojave Green rattlesnake... I was yelling at Cassie to stay away from the snake and she kept going back barking at it. I yelled so loud I scared her away from me getting to her. Finally I calmed down enough and called in the sweetest voice I could manage and she came and I picked her up and carried her into the house. I caught the snake with a bucket and broom, and went back inside to check every square inch of Cassie. I don't believe she was bitten... can't find any punctures and she is acting normal.
I ran back into the house to grab a camera so I can show Vet what kind of snake it was, took the snake about a mile away and let it loose. Then I remembered to take a picture of it as it crawled underneath the bush.
Talk about heart failure. I can't believe how stressed and upset I was... I think I scared Cassie more than the rattlesnake!
After three hours and Cassie acting her normal self I thought it was okay to got to the memorial.
There was a whole lot of family and friends showing up to say goodbye to Violet. There was lots of food there for all. I gave Chris Jonas my condolences for losing his beloved wife Violet.
I dropped by Kelly’s and dropped her off some potluck leftovers and told her about the events of the day and how upset I was over Cassie and the snake. Then I went back home and tried to mellow out for the rest of the night,
