Wednesday 09
Mar. 9th, 2011 10:46 pmWednesday 09- I did my stretches.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 50 to 74 degrees, calm winds, humidity around 19 percent, mostly clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 8 mph. Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 19 to 22 mph decreasing to between 11 and 14 mph. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.”
It was such a fine morning I took my breakfast outside along with my netbook and sat out there enjoying the view of the snow covered mountains to the west and reading my emails. I even did some yard work too!
I got news that my friend is in stable condition at the local hospital and his wife is with him. I’m a little relieved but still worried.
UPS delivered a book I bought online called “The Practical Entomologist” by Rick Imes. It has all kinds of beautiful pictures and illustrations. The reason I got the book was that I was reading another book and it mentioned the word antomology and I wondered what that word meant. So I did a search and found it was misspelled and should have been entomology. I read the Wikipedia article about the study of insects and found it fascinating. So I ordered this book.
I watched the movie called “Space Cowboys” (2000) Starring Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, and Donald Sutherland. and I thought it was a mighty fine watch!
I read a few chapters of “Spinward Fringe: Broadcast 1 and 2” by Randolph Lalonde.
I wrote to my journal, posted it to the web and called it a night.
