Sunday 25- I did my stretches, ran a mile, rode my bike, and lifted weights. I’m feeling better today!
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 82 to 110 degrees, slight breeze, humidity around 27 percent, mostly clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 102. Calm wind becoming south southeast between 13 and 16 mph. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. Southwest wind between 7 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.”
It was hot again outside today and I kept mostly inside doing little things around the house.
I got caught up on my reading of “365 Starry Nights”; I was three weeks behind. Then I read aloud from the textbook “Astronomy Today" about meteoroids.
Remember when I wrote a few days ago that I thought that gravity and space-time were the same. Well I did a little research on gravity and space-time and found this: “Einstein proposed that space-time is curved by matter, and that free-falling objects are moving along locally straight paths in curved space-time. Einstein explained gravity as "warps in the geometry of space-time"” So I guess that I read it somewhere and I finally Grok that part of General Relativity.
I watched “Cosmos” by Carl Sagan (1980). This is my favorite science documentary. I remember watching it over at my friend Bob Lee’s house when it first came out. I was living on my sailboat at the time and didn’t have a TV. I would go over to his house every Sunday to watch the show on KCET PBS.
I went for my evening walk and took the video camera along. I got a movie of a horny toad! Maybe I’ll post it later on.
I watched an episode of “Star Trek” the original called “Where No Man Has Gone Before” (1965); it was the second pilot episode.
I then watched a movie called “Home of the Brave” (2006) about three returning Vets from the Iraqi War and the hardships they go through trying to adjust. Excellent Film!!!!
I did my stretches, practiced my guitar, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
