Welcome to the Month of March!
Mar. 1st, 2011 10:17 pmWelcome to the Month of March! - I did my stretches, lifted dumbbells, and rode my bike.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 39 to 61 degrees, calm winds, humidity around 29 percent, mostly sunny skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. West wind between 3 and 8 mph.”
I didn’t have anywhere to go today, so after I gave Mac’s laptop a tune-up I did my studies! I'm really thinking that I should go back to college or something.
I studied my Latin flashcards. Then I read a chapter of pre-algebra on increasing and reducing fractions.
FedEx delivered three electronic books and I read the first chapter of “Electronics for Dummies”; I like the Dummies books because most times their concise; short and to the point.
I went for my evening walk listening to my Latin lectures.
I read aloud from the textbook “Astronomy Today” about interstellar dust and gas.
I started lesson 2 of “Building your first web page” and will complete the assignments tomorrow.
I watched “THX1138” (1971) Directed by George Lucas and starring Robert Duvall. This is another movie I saw when it first came out and is worth seeing again. It’s about an underground technological civilization where babies are conceived in tubes and people are forced to take drugs to suppress sexual desires. The story revolves around a man and a woman who stop taking these drugs.
I read a few chapters of “Spinward Fringe: Broadcast 1 and 2” by Randolph Lalonde.
I did my stretches, practiced my guitar, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web and called it a night.
