Sunday 17- I did my stretches.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 61 to 82 degrees, SSW winds to 6 to 16 MPH with a few gusts here and there, humidity around 33 percent, mostly clear skies. I can smell the rain coming!
According to the National Weather Service: “Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 75. North northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming east. Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. East southeast wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm.”
I did a few chores around the house and called a few more Family and Friends throughout the day.
Joel called me to say he had charged up a battery and it held a charge, so I moseyed on down to his house with my voltmeter to check it out; it was good to go! That’s pretty cool because I had mentioned it only in my journal and I had two friends (Mac was the other) respond with batteries for Kelly. I took the battery over to her house, installed it, and tested it out by starting the motor and everything seemed to be working just fine. Kelly is very thankful to everyone who thought of her. Now all we need to find is a refrigerator for her.
I stopped to check on another friend’s house who is away on vacation. And then over to Stoney’s and started his truck and let it run for a spell. I took a shower while I was there and I feel almost human again.
I got back home and went on my evening walk.
I started writing my column for the newspaper trying to get an early start on it.
I watched a movie called “Gattaca” (1997) about a world where manipulation of genetics has created the perfect humans who are very smart, athletic, and never get ill. And if you were born naturally without any tampering society labeled you an "in-valid" which meant that you were discriminated against because not being perfect you were a liability and could not work at anything but menial jobs. A great flick!!!!
I did my stretches, practiced my guitar, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
