Sunday 18- I did my stretches.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 81 to 111 degrees, winds out of the SE/SW at 6 to 16 MPH, humidity around 28 percent, clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Monday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 105. Calm wind becoming south between 11 and 14 mph. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 80. West southwest wind 15 to 18 mph decreasing to between 6 and 9 mph. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.”
I got a joke email from Judy Ruggles comparing pictures of pretty women doing Yoga positions to passed out drunks lying on the road and park benches. It got me interested in Yoga! I did a search of Yoga and found some videos on how to do these. One was the pigeon position that looked too hard for me to do but I found some others that I did try out and will incorporate them into my stretches.
I read a little bit of some old Greek books: Homer’s “Iliad” about the Greek/Trojan war and Plato’s “Apology” where Plato writes about the trial of Socrates. “Apology” I can read fine but the “Iliad” is more like a poem and I find it hard reading. A lot of my online friends have read them; I’ve never had and thought it time I did.
While I was reading I updated software on two computers.
I went for my evening walk with my camera. I didn’t find anything worth taking; the sky was kind of dusty. I could have taken a pic of the young owl that hangs around near where I walk but I didn’t want to disturb him and have him fly away. I want him to get used to me when I go on my walks, then I can take some close up pics.
I watched “Alice in Wonderland” (2010) a very nice film! Alice is all growed up now!!!
I did my stretches and lifted weights, practiced my guitar, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
