Friday 09- I did my stretches, ran two miles, rode my bike, and lifted weights.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 78 to 111 degrees, light breeze, humidity around 24 percent, some clouds.
According to the National Weather Service: “Saturday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 105. Northwest wind at 10 mph becoming east southeast. Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind 13 to 16 mph becoming west 5 to 8 mph. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.”
It’s Friday and I updated the Copper Mountain Mesa Website and sent out the Newsletter.
Then I got to work on the battery room. I had to connect four six volt batteries together: two batteries each in a series and then connect the two series in parallel. I connected these up along with the solar panels to the new 30Amp controller. Now all I need to do is make a mount for the new 120Watt panels, connect them up to the present panels, and I should get around 500Watts! It was really hot and humid in the battery room and I must have sweated out a couple of gallons; dang hot all day. Later in the night around 11pm when I went for a night run it was 91 degrees.
I read aloud from the textbook: “Astronomy Today" more on Comets.
I went for my evening walk around sunset.
I read a few more chapters of “No Mercy” by John Gilstrap.
I watched “Men who stare at Goats” (2009). What a wonderful film! Takes me back to the counter culture of 60s and 70s before business folk found they could turn a profit from it and take it to the Dark Side. Sad! Such hope for our country back then! The film is now one of my favorites. It even had the song I really like by the group Boston called “More Than a Feeling”!
I did my stretches, lifted weights, and went for a night. I practiced my guitar, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
