Saturday 28
Aug. 28th, 2010 11:37 pmToday’s Weather was: Temps of around 74 to 95 degrees, SW winds at 6 to 26 MPH, humidity around 22 percent, clear skies. Dang fine day!
According to the National Weather Service: “Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 87. West wind between 6 and 13 mph. Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 62. Breezy, with a west wind 21 to 24 mph decreasing to between 10 and 13 mph. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.”
I called family to say howdy before I had to leave the house for the day.
I went over to Doug’s house to help him and Brianna sort and pack stuff and load it into a U-Haul truck. They have to have all their belongings out by next Thursday. Larry Carlock came all the way from Vista Ca. to help them move. It’s a long and personal story about why they have to move and I shouldn’t go into it here. I felt the sadness in the house as we packed; sometimes overwhelming. I was glad when it came time for me to go off to potluck.
We actually had 14 folks showing up! Marcie Hines brought potato salad and a meat and cheese platter. Marie Morrison baked up a fabulous blackberry cobbler. Rose brought stewed carrots and peas. Chris Jonas brought his fantastic macaroni salad. Ruth Malton whipped up a really nice fruit salad. And I brought some macaroni and cheese I made all by myself.
I watched “Underworld” (2003). I watched the whole series of them out of order; this one being the first to come out. I don’t think it really mattered because the first one I ever watched was a pre-sequel to this one. Anyways I’ve said this before, I don’t care much for vampire movies, but these are done so well that I enjoyed them.
I did my stretches, practiced my guitar, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
