Monday 03- I did my stretches.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 56 and 82 degrees, calm winds, humidity around 8 percent, clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 89. West wind at 10 mph becoming south. Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 61. West wind between 8 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.”
I went to Yucca Valley to see what I need to have done to get my truck certified for the road. I found that there cannot be any cracks on the lens of any of the lights, so I need to get new lens to replace the ones I glued the cracks back together. They need to go over my breaking system by taking the wheels off, so I’ll probably need to get the breaking system fixed. And I need to get a smog check. I didn’t feel too confident after I left the auto repair place. I went to Stater Bros to get some groceries and went back home.
I went for my evening walk and listened to Astro 10: General Astronomy: A Mulitiverse.
Kevin called to chat and we yakked for a long time about his vending business that he owns and runs in Tucson.
I read aloud from the textbooks: “Astronomy Today" started chapter on Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto; “The Cell: a Molecular Approach” General Transcription Factors and Initiation of Transcription by RNA Polymerase II. I read it but I don’t understand it that much!
I talked to Ginger on the phone for a spell as she drove back from Palm Springs. She’s trying to get a job up here and has an interview tomorrow in Twentynine Palms.
I started a new book by Michael Crichton called “Next” (2006). It seems to be about bioengineering, and the thing is that I can understand what he’s writing about because I’ve been reading that Molecular Biology book! Maybe I am getting something out of that textbook!!! This is a resent book so I wont be giving a blow by blow account of it.
I did my stretches, practiced my guitar (the new song is coming along quite nicely), wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.

Tuesday 04- I did my stretches, ran two miles, and lifted weights.
Today’s Weather was: Temps of around 61 and 88 degrees, mostly calm winds, humidity around 12 percent, clear skies.
According to the National Weather Service: “Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 87. West wind between 8 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.”
I did some yard work and watered the plants. It’s was such a beautiful day that I spent a few hours outside just sitting and enjoying the sights and sounds of the desert in spring.
I went for my evening walk and listened to Astro 10: General Astronomy: Interstellar Travel.
I read aloud from the textbooks: “Astronomy Today" the discovery of Uranus and Neptune; “The Cell: a Molecular Approach” Transcription by RNA Polymerase I and II.
I read a few chapters of “Next” by Michael Crichton.
I did my stretches, practiced my guitar, wrote my column for the newspaper and sent it in, wrote to my journal, posted it to the web, and called it a night.
